Jiangsu Longteng Special Steel Group (formerly Changshu Longteng Special Steel Co., Ltd.) was founded in 1993. It is a steel joint enterprise that integrates traditional steel industry and metal deep processing. The company has total assets of over 20 billion yuan, including special steel company, section steel company, steel rod company, wear-resistant ball company, welding material company, automotive forging company, new energy equipment company, foreign trade company, Longteng Hilton Hotel, and modern agricultural park. The total number of employees is over 6000, and the annual production of various types of special steel is 4.5 million tons, as well as 5 million tons of various metal deep processing products。
Over the years, the company has successfully created six product series through differentiated product positioning, professional development ideas, market-oriented operation concepts, and innovative development models of integrated research and development, manufacturing, and service. These series include: 1. hot-rolled ship section steel for shipbuilding industry and hot-rolled track steel series for engineering machinery; 2. Hot rolled and forged wear-resistant balls for metal ore dressing and bearing steel ball series for the bearing industry; 3. High strength prestressed concrete steel bars (PC steel bars) series for the construction industry; 4. Various high-end welding materials and wire series for shipbuilding, high-speed rail, and bridge use; 5. Various forging series for new energy vehicles and oil and gas pipe fittings series for oil and natural gas transmission pipelines; 6. Integrated suppression of large module series for new energy vehicles, high-end marine ultra-thick plates, and mold steel series. The products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions around the world。

Meili Town and Shanghai Longteng Industry and Trade Company jointly invested in establishing a joint venture plant of Longteng Steel Plant. Using ship dismantling steel plates to produce modified rebar, with an annual production capacity of 3000 tons。
In January, Ji Bingyuan was appointed as the factory director。
In May, Shanghai Longteng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. terminated the joint venture agreement, and then adjusted the product structure to produce automobile spring flat steel。
Hosted the key research project of "The Influence of Hot Rolled Ball and Cold Pier Ball Forming Process on the Service Life of Steel Balls" during the Ninth Five Year Plan. In 2001, China officially joined the World Trade Organization.
